It seems our wandering Bald Eagle was looking for an easy meal. He was eyeing up some baby mallard ducklings that were just born. This photo was taken yesterday evening around 5:30 pm. It was an overcast day, temps in the 70's.

I count myself lucky that I wasn't born any other species and therefore made it through babyhood and beyond.
Don't think I'd have lasted long as a duckling, ugly or otherwise.
