White Bird - Immature Little Blue Heron

When I cropped this photo to focus on the bird the color saturation thing made the legs more green than yellow. The only white egret or heron that I can find with legs like this is the Immature Little Blue Heron. He is probably 1-1/2 to 2 feet tall. I took this photo around 9:30 this morning. It is a beautiful sunny day out, and now at 10:30 the weather.com site it saying it is 80 degree.

Cedar Waxwing

I just saw at least 5 of these guys, there may have been more, around 8 pm. Right at my door step! Clear skys. Nice weather in the 70's.

Bald Eagle

It seems our wandering Bald Eagle was looking for an easy meal. He was eyeing up some baby mallard ducklings that were just born. This photo was taken yesterday evening around 5:30 pm. It was an overcast day, temps in the 70's.

I saw 4 to 6 of these guys yesterday on the sandbar. It was an overcast day, with nice warm weather of 70 degree plus.

Great Black-backed Gull

Spotted this guy on January 15th. The Osprey left right after Thanksgiving when we had our first frost. The mergansers are still around, though a hunter shot one!!! The heron are around too. The geese are still here, though two hunters each got one. The other night I saw one of the mates all alone calling over head looking for in vain for its mate. (Hunters please shoot both if you can! But not here for it is private property.) And yes I called the police on both hunters. This is a stupid place to hunt with so many people around, and the Perkiomen trail right there with people on it during all sorts of weather.
